+ Nutrition
An animal depends on what it eats. Few people suspect food as a source for itching. Yet a look in the bowl is well worth it, especially for animals with dermatological or digestive pathologies. Other animals are always hungry! I support you here so that your pet does not become too heavy.

3. Small surgical interventions
At home, the following small interventions are possible:
Male cat sterilization
Elimination of dental calculus under short narcosis
Treatment of injuries with small or medium wounds
The safety and health of your pet comes first!
Surgical procedures must be carried out under optimal sterility conditions, that means in a clinic. There the carry out a permanent control of the vital parameters such as, among other things, the pulse, the oxygen saturation, the body temperature is ensured. This concerns mainly patients at risk. In the event that a surgical intervention is necessary, I take care of the transfer to a colleague or specialized clinic.

4. Transfer to specialized colleagues
Special diagnoses require support in specialized imaging (for example, in radiology, scanner, MRI or endoscopy), specialized exams (for example in neurology or cardiology) or surgical procedures which are not possible at home. In these cases, I'll refer you to specialized colleagues: their diagnosis then allow me an adequate treatment for your animal.
The diagnosis and therapy of reptile or avian pathologies require special knowledge about their natural habitat, their physiology and their diet. For them there are specialized veterinarians. If you need a recommendation, don't hesitate to contact me.

The twilight in the life of your pet is not a disaster, but a precious moment with your family member with four legs.
The oldest cat ever was called Creme Puff. He is said to have died at the age of 38. Bluey, the oldest dog, was 29 years old. Even though these ages are still very unusual, the life expectancy of our pets has increased by more than a third in recent decades. The reason is their caring owners. Because in addition to the breed, posture, regular checkups, adequate physical activity, a perfectly adapted diet and good dental hygiene influence the quality of aging.
Regular in-depth examinations and monitoring of certain laboratory values are recommended, even before entry into the senior age.
Despite the utmost caution, certain health problems and illnesses are common in older animals. The older an animal is, the more calm it becomes. Walks are getting shorter and shorter, but naps and "whims" are increasing. They behave differently, no longer want (or on the contrary more) to be cuddled, they are suddenly picky or have no appetite. Many animals at some point show difficulty in climbing stairs or in climbing to their preferred location. Some of the age-related health problems can be delayed by appropriate measures, or even completely postponed.
